If Hillary wins should I stop teaching my kid that lying is bad?

I didn't have the best parents in the world, but my dad was absolutely clear that if we lied we would be disciplined.

So naturally, I don't lie. I despise liars.

Lying, cheating and stealing are all versions of one another.

I am raising my son with that in mind.

But it seems society has come to a place where lying is just part of life. Being a good liar seems to be a positive character trait these days rather than a negative one.

Millions of people will vote for a woman who has made a career out of lying -- and we will sign up for more.

How is an honest person supposed to process this?

    To be fair, Trump is also a liar. He hasn't committed perjury, but has constantly lied about his business 'successes', usually by talking about products that a) only have his name, and aren't actually owned by him or b) products that weren't commercially successful at all. He's also lied quite a bit about his past: for instance, he maintains that he opposed the Iraq War from the start, but in his first interview on the subject, he doesn't voice any opposition. It wasn't until another interview a few years later that he said it was a bad idea.

    One of the most ridiculous things I've heard in this election (over and over) is "I'd never vote for Hillary! She's a liar! I'm voting for Trump!" Trump has been caught in maybe 3x as many lies as Hillary.
