Living in Dallas?

Question

I'm considering applying for a new position within my current company, however, it is in Dallas, TX which is about half way across the country from home. What is it really like to live in/move to Dallas, TX as someone in their mid 20's who is not going to know anyone.
The position should mention that work will probably keep me pretty busy. 
Also, I should mention I'm not the most outgoing person although I do like spending time with friends. However, I'm a little concerned about having to meet new people. The office in which I'd be working is very small as in only 3-5 people so I can't count on that meet people. 
I'm really just looking for an honest answer as to what it is like to live in Dallas not knowing anyone

While your personality is important in some ways, knowing approximately where you will be working would be much more useful if you will be living nearby. Otherwise you will perhaps waste a lot of time getting to work or going places with similar people. Since you don't mention church that cuts back on opportunities. 
Depending on the life you want away from work and location, Uptown near downtown is a surging area for young adult workers. The corridor up North Central Expressway and the DART Red Line has job concentrations and entertainment/recreation opportunities.

you have to make an effort to meet people either at work or church or an activity you like, such as sports. Dallas is very active with lots of people your age, and perhaps  those at work can introduce you to others with whom you can relate?
So it depends on you as to whether you will make friends and expand your number of friends or just go home every night and watch t.v. alone.
