I think fhotoace is right. My immediate thought was that you have your camera set to RAW+JPEG mode. This is easy to tell just by looking at the file name's dot-three extension. JPEG files will have a .jpeg affixed to the end of the file name, while RAW files from a Canon will end in a .CRW

If you are still NOT using Windows Explorer or (Mac) Finder to do the copying then uninstall whatever you're using right now.
