What will cause the next world recession?

Capitalism goes in cycles. Following every boom is a recession. Following every recession is a boom. The recessions get longer and deeper and the booms get shorter and shallower, until the booms can't even be seen. When the state of constant recession arrives along come the Blame-Immigrants parties which slowly build and one day one will succeed. Once in power these parties end elections and take over, building a huge military to occupy the rapid increase in unemployed as more and more consumers are removed from the market-place. Eventually - at the point when the most profit can be made - the rest of the whole world unites in its disgust and declares war to end the oppression. Millions are slaughtered, great waves of destruction wash over the lands and capitalism rises from the body strewn carnage reborn with work and room for population growth a-plenty.

Hard to say in specific terms, since there are many parts of the economy that might result in recession. But broadly, there will be 'over-supply' in one area of the economy, leading to companies going bust and laying off workers, and this will spread to the rest of the economy.
