there was a point, which was profits.

but the top brass @ yahoo inc hasnt for the past few yrs at least been able to figure out how to make a profit from it and many other of its web sites.

so in july 2016 yahoo sold most of its web biz to verizon.

if the deal holds up, v is supposed to take control btwn jan and mar 31.

so yahoo's web biz is in limbo; yahoo doesnt wana spend any $ on it, hence all the probs,

and v doesnt own it yet.

People say technology. I don't see it that way. I think they have staffing problems. I'm guessing they hire bad or inexperienced managers and programmers/designers. It might be good to have a buy out by Verizon, but it will be an uphill battle for V, a very steep hill.

I'm not Yahoo Answers and in fact, I think it is the worst Q&A site on the internet. They have it because the get advertising dollars from it.

I find that when Yahoo is having technical problems is if I answer a question is when they don't like my answer; when it is politically incorrect to Liberals or feminists.

The problem is there is no alternative. When working, YA functions well for its purpose.
