Quitting call center job by leaving resignation letter on boss' desk?
I m 24 and have been at a miserable call center job for 2 years. I love exercise and I HATE what i ve become...sitting all day, no motivation, no purpose, no stimulation, just answering mindless calls all day. My confidence is at an all time low and I am tired all the time.
Yes, it is up to me to make a change, and I Have been literally trying to approach my boss to give her two weeks notice for 2 months now, but I just can t. I guess I m scared. IDK why.
I really cannot take another day there. If i look for something else I ll still have to work there. I already went over in my head to man up and give two weeks.
But because I can't do it, I am losing extreme patience. What do i do? I feel stuck and depressed

With that kind of job you really dont need resignation letter, or to give notice. You wont have problem getting another job. You stayed there 2 years and that says a lot about you. That is a tough job to stay so long

It is not a big deal at all. You do not owe them ANYTHING, especially putting in 2 years of work there. You don't even have to say anything if you don't want to. Write up your resignation letter and go to you supervisor and say "Good morning, I just wanted to give you this" and hand it to her.

Ive quit a few job myself so I know where you are coming from. Its always better to give notice, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Don't let the job kill you. Be polite when you leave, no need to add insult to injury. Hopefully this will lead to something you actually want to do.

Hopefully this turns out to be the first step toward a better situation. Good luck.
