3. Blair has a home mortgage of $145,000. He makes a payment of $830 every month.

a) Write a sequence showing the balance for the first 10 months.

b) What kind of sequence is this and how do you know (arithmetic, geometric)?

c) When will the balance be less than $100,000? Show and use a formula to calculate this.

    a. I assume there is no interest. 145000, 144170, 143340, 142510, ...

    b. arithmetic

    c. 100000= 145000 - 830x; x≈ 55 months
