Is there a name to the idea that a finite amount of matter can be used to create an even greater amount of matter?

Or names to any similar concepts would be appreciated.

Not that I am aware of.

However, there is the idea that an entire universe can come into existence with no input matter whatsoever; it's not more matter coming from less matter, but matter effectively coming from "nothing". Link in sources.
