The name Jesus is a transliteration of the Hebrew word Yeshua which means the salvation of God.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus (Yeshua): for he shall save his people from their sins.

The fact of the matter, God word is truth mankind could not predicted all of God prophecy to come true, because mankind is not that intelligent, to know that Israel would be destroyed and then become a nation again, only God could predict that, because God is all knowing and eternal God. Matthew 1 says. "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the Name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins."

"All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”)."

1 Timothy 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: "God was manifest in the flesh", justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Acts 23:9

John 1:1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John's purpose is to establish the fact that Jesus is God and man in one person. By presenting Jesus Christ as the Word through which all things were created, John is saying that God chose Jesus as his messenger/Messiah to tell us about himself. Jesus is God and the revealer of God the Father.

The word became flesh. Jesus is called the word of God. So he's not God but he's the one that became flesh. The word of God.

Pay attention. Jesus didn't fulfill the prophecy. He was a charlatan.
