I agree with L.N. Yours looks to be male,and they are not known to bite, females can have a bit of irritation or even some local swelling where they bite, but I have handled plenty of them and never bitten.

Appears to be a male Steatoda grossa. They are common cobweb spiders frequently called false widows since they resemble the widow spiders. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steatoda_grossa
