Yes, certainly the US Democrats are very confused at the moment.

They claim to support diversity but you are not allowed to have a differing political view.

They want equal rights for women but complain when men punch women back.

Incidentally, I can fix the male/female/transgender issue quite easily. Just have one set of toilets for everyone and do not have separate men's and women's competitions. That would sort out the differing prize money issue as well.

They claim to be not like the NAZIs but have replicated Adolph's Brownshirts so that rival political meetings can be violently disrupted by them.

They are also so sensitive that it is difficult to tell a joke any more without breaking a rule of some sort and neither can you dress up as certain types of people. Pocahontas is a no-no, for instance - it "disrespects" American Indians - at least I think that was the reason. (Am I still allowed to call them American Indians?)

Liberalism and socialism are not the same thing, obviously. The kind of socialism you mean (I assume) was tried in easten Europe during the cold war and failed. Neo liberalism failed and is getting voted out across Europe as well as in the U.S.. Trumpism is already failing. I don't think we'll be trying any of them again soon, at least till they go out of living memory, like Trumpism, sorry, I mean Fascism.
