What evidence is there that Voyager 1 or 2 have any physical damage from meteorite strikes?
I have seen artist impressions of the Voyager spacecraft with damage, wondering what evidence suggests these artistic impressions exactly.

None.
We haven;t been able to SEE these craft since a few days after they were launched.
Fore a LONG TIME they have been too far away to SEE, even with the best telescope

I think probably the artist's impressions you saw was after a many-thousand (perhaps million) year journey; As it stands, both Voyagers continue to function (although each only has a single instrument operating), and they continue to return data. After millions of years, probably *some* damage will occur, but - if it has already - it's not known.
The Pioneer probes - 10 & 11 - had meteoroid detectors; they recorded the impacts of smaller-than-sand pebbles as they traveled, with Pioneer 11's detector maxing out as it flew inside the rings of Saturn, but there was no apparent damage to either craft.
