Is it okay to take one birth control pill and then stop?

My face started breaking out and I ve been off the pill for a couple months. I took one last night but today I haven t felt really well and I think the dosage is too strong for me. I haven t had any sexual activity and I take the pill for my acne. My last period was a week ago and I wasn t sure if it d be bad for my cycle to take one pill and decide to stop now. Is there any side effects? Should I keep taking it?

Nah, it's fine. If you're unusually sensitive to hormones you might well have some bleeding in a few days but it isn't harmful.

There will be few side effects from one pill.

There will possibly be a little bleeding.
