What does it really mean when a guy can't keep an erection?

A lot of times it means that the guy is nervous. I remember that used to happen to me once in a while when I was young and inexperienced, but ever since I hit my late 20's I've been able to get an erection any time I want to and have it last probably due to more confidence and experience under my belt.
