Is there a limit to who you would date in regards to age?

Would you date someone 10 years older or younger or 20 years older...?

I drew the line at 14 years. That not only signifies a different generation but usually a different lifestyle as well. I had a very dear friend I dated for years who assured me that 16 years ought to be the cut off and that a marriage between us would work fine. But I noticed after awhile that the time we spent together was in HIS life. Doing the things HE liked to do and seeing HIS friends/family and, long run, that never changed and the place he took in my life was him waiting for me to enter full time into his. Well, I liked him! But looking down the road even just a few years I realized that I'd WANT my life, want my time, want my activities and interests and friends and he wasn't interested in those things at all and wasn't going to be. So, as a life partner? It wasn't going to work for me at all. Had to break it up.

I'm much older now. I'm wed to a man 8 years my senior and as we've aged, together... it's begun to feel that I'm much younger than my husband. Quite noticeably so. Didn't feel that way at all decades ago. Sure does now.

Nope!!! I was over 24 and dated my Niece, she was 11. She had a crush on me and everyone in my family including relatives and her parents told me. I asked permission to take her on a date, her folks thought that was neat. I asked and told her where we were going. I told her it was a date and she blushed and smiled big.

We had dinner, went to a park, talked, joked and slow danced.

To her it was magical and special, for me it was a delight.

She died before she got a real date or boyfriend.

I was her first and only.

If you don't count this as a date... "F" you! You don't know what a Date is.
