CB radios?
is it my imagination or are CB radios coming back ? I seem to be seeing more CB antennas when I am driving ! if they are coming back then I am putting mine back in ! by the way I am from PA ! thanks folks !

You might also be seeing amateur radio antennas.
Lots of people are getting licensed these days.
CB has never really gone away,
but it did take a deep plunge for a long time.
I have a CB radio in my pickup "just in case",
but my 2-meter mobile does and will continue to do me a Lot more good.

CB RADIO TRANSMITTER ANTENNA HAS ABOUT 6 FEET LONG THICK METAL ROD AND ITS BASE HAS A BIG COIL. ITS TRNSMITTER HAS POWER NOT MORE THAN 5W, THAT GIVING A EFFECTIVE TALKING RANGE WITHIN CITY IS LESS THAN 5 MILES.
NOBODY USE THIS JUNK ANY MORE EXCEPT SOME VERY OLD TRUCK DRIVER MIGHT STILL OWN IT.

They never really lost popularity. They just didn't gain any either for the last 40 years. The big advantage is that it is legal to use them when it is illegal to use a cell phone. Just wait. I have no doubt that will change.
