    NO, wood lacks the structure to cut steel

    If the steel is thin enough, like fine foil, a wooden knife with a steel blade set into it will score and cut with a few passes along a straight edge.

    Depending on the wood and the metal, yes. But it won't work very well and it will take a lot of sawing action.

    Ultimately, no. The rigidity of the cutting material must exceed the hardness of what is being cut. However, you can cut very soft metals with a hard wood.
