According to God's word, the Bible when a person dies he feels nothing at all. They not know anything. And they

cannot do anything.Death is like a deep sleep.(John 11:11-14).The Grave, simply put,is where humans go when

they die.It is a condition where any consciousness or activity ceases. The Bible states at Ecclesiastes9:5,10 that

the living know they will die,but the dead know nothing at all........So once dead a person is no longer suffering.

When a person dies their spirit goes to God. He sends the children and the Christians to the paradise of God in heaven and the unbelievers to spirit prison. Later there is the resurrection where the body and spirit are reunited. Then there is the final judgment. Those who go to heaven or a paradise earth will feel happy and those who go to hell will feel torment.

    Not according to the Bible,

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.

10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins is the one who will die.

The sensations come from the body and its interaction with the environment, and are interpreted by the brain. Dead brain = no more sensation.
