Is it possible to go into a bank with cash and have them deposit it into my friends bank account?

I live in the United States, and recently gone through a hard time and lost a lot of my important paperwork, birth certificate and such. A friend in the UK bought me some stuff online to help me out and i am in a position to start paying her back, however i do not have my own bank account as of yet. I do plan on opening one up once I have time to get all my paperwork in order, but for now I am not. My question is, Is it possible for me to walk into a local bank with 50 cash, her account information details and ask them to put the money in her account. I only have my Drivers license as ID at this point. Because hers is a UK based bank I do not have a local branch. Is this possible or will I have to wait to start paying her back until i can straiten out my paperwork.

An international bank to bank transfer will set you back $30 at least in fees.

WU or paypal would be the way to go.

Buy money orders (or similar) and mail them to her. { Money grams? Western Union?} [Let her know when you do it, and she can confirm she received your remittance.] FYI Oddly, Chase bank will no longer accept green cash from a non-member wanting to deposit into a member's account. idk about other banks.

I disagree. If you have your friend's bank account number and name, you can make deposits. You can't make withdrawals, of course.

No, you need your own bank account to transfer money.

No, that would not be possible.

If you both have PayPal accounts, you CAN pay her that way. I've paid friends in the UK that way several times. The exchange rate isn't the best, but it works quite well.
