Part of my gums (between my teeth) seems loose, why?

A week or so ago I burnt the roof of my mouth (right between and behind my two front teeth) eating food. It was a little sore and swollen but it was fine. A couple days later I was eating corn on the cob and it was really hot but I'm stupid so I ate it without letting it cool down, and I burnt the already-burnt spot even worse. It was really painful, and really swollen, so I didn't touch it and I was careful eating.

Anyways I have a gap between my two front teeth. It's healed now and it doesn't hurt, but I can pull that piece of gum down from between my teeth now and it's kind of freaking me out. Like I said, there's no pain, but it's annoying and I'm worried. I did a Google search and I got a bunch of results of gum disease, but this didn't happen until I stupidly burnt the **** out of my mouth, and I brush my teeth twice a day and try to floss once a week, so do I need to worry about having gum disease?

Look for sensitive gum toothpaste, it will heal it and make it feel much better, but it wont work RIGHT away. You have to use that kind everyday and not mix it up
