Transgender child?

I'm just wondering what parents reaction would be if their child came out as transgender to them. I'm not facing the situation currently just curious.

since your asking for opinions, then I would like to give mine. I am not a parent nor do I plan on being one for at least 10 years. But if I had a daughter, and she told me she wanted to be a boy, at first it might be something that i'd brush off bcs kids say weird stuff sometimes. but if it was an ongoing thing then i would definitely sit down with the child and talk to them about their emotions and thoughts. I plan on always being supportive of my child no matter what, but I'm not going to start letting them change themselves until I know they are old enough to truly understand themselves and they're sure it's something they want. If my daughter wanted to dress like a 'boy' then i'd let her. she wants to get a haircut, go for it. but I would definitely wait until they're close to adulthood before letting them start any type of hormone therapy if that was what they wanted. so that they are old enough to do their own research and understand more about everything they wish to do.

were it my household, I would let him/her know what Scripture says about that abomination, then let her/him decide to be w/God for eternity or not

My parents were old school and would have banished us from their lives. My older brother basically did what Jenner did, came out in his sixties. Both parents are dead so that wasn't a factor any longer. I still cannot accept that he used to try on my dresses behind my back...it is painful and I feel as though he has died.
