Why do half the questions on here have no place to type a response or reply to someone else's comment?

    That is an ongoing forum glitch.

    click on the (unseen) box area, it might support typing anyway. The details area at ask a question is almost invisible. You could also update (get new) browser

    Because now questions older than a week get closed
