Did obama ever commission anything? Is anything military named after a democrat?

Right now, President Trump is commissioning the world's biggest and most advanced air craft carrier, named after another Republican President, Ford. So, the question is: was obama ever seen with a military weapon? And, if he wasn't, is that because of his policy or did the military just hate him so much they avoided inviting him to such things as commissioning a ship. One would think that in the case of this new super carrier, the Navy just delayed the commissioning until obama was gone. A final question. Do you think anything will be named after obama, and if it is, do you think it will be an instant slum?

Obama is getting a sewage plant named after him. Or a landfill. Both will be appropriate for the crappy job he did and the garbage that spilled out of his mouth.

So magically in 6 months Trump has a carrier built and commissoned? This carrier was done YEARS ago to replace the aging ones like the Nimitz. Enterprise is being built and so is the new JFK they are of a new class. Ships and subs were named and commissioned during Obama's presidency

Do you seriously think that over an 8 year period that the Navy didn't commission a single ship? (the actual commission comes from the President, whether or not he is physically at the ceremony).

It took me about 2 minutes on Wikipedia to find over 30 ships commissioned during the Obama administration. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_ship...

I didn't even have to go back a year to find 2 ships named after Democrats-- the USS Gabrielle Giffords and the USS John P. Murtha.

There's also a sub named after Carter, a carrier named for Truman, and a destroyer named for FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt. There's more, but hopefully you can read a list.

The USS Gerald Ford was planned and named long before Trump became president.

Nothing will probably be named after Obama or Clinton they never served. Not all Carrier's are named after former Presidents. And the Navy has a whole process/procedure how ships are named. Frankly their are other's more deserving than who you mentioned. During official Commissioning ceremonies that's often a function where The First Lady is present or NOK who the ship is named after of.

Hold up, how does Trump get credit for a ship that was designed, planned, approved and was mostly built under different presidential administrations?

Hmmm Trump has a lot of military experience. He is expert at gaming selective service. His military exploits include ordering a poorly planned special operation that killed more civilians than bad guys, missed its target and killed an 11 year old American Citizen as well as a special operator. To date his military exploits have killed more civilians than bad guys. Jerry Ford's Military experience was highlighted by the botched Mayaguez rescue attempt. Poorly planned, the hostages were already safe and he left US soldiers behind to be slaughtered by a bunch of pirates.
