God forbid. If a nuke hit NYC, would it be any way possible to survive? Are there any underground bunkers/tunnels that go deep into NYC?

What does it matter, if you were down there you would be buried under thousands of tons of radiation active rubble, and then die a slow painful death.

If/when a nuke hits NYC it will be gone, for all intents & purposes...

If you were in a subway tunnel in the suburbs of the city you might have a chance of surviving the initial blast but you would probably dir of starvation because there would be little food and you couldn't leave the subway tunnel for years due to the radiation.

There probably are proper underground bunkers designed for people to survive a nuclear bomb, but they are only for the government and the rich elite.

The bunkers from the Sixties have been converted
