For cardboard projects, what tape can I put on them to make them "archival" and long lasting?

Cardboard projects as in "art projects."

Update:

Note: I am asking about tape not a sealer like varnish or epoxy.

    Archival tape is made and should be available at a large stationary story,

    Scotch tape is good to use for those kind of projects.
