Do you believe that all people are born inherently good?

I ask, because being hugely interested in psychology, this is a question that I see flung around quite frequently when talking about the human mind and Morales, and I want to know what you guys think.

People are born as blank slates. Could go either way. If you love a newborn child, it develops normally and at about one year of age acquires the beginnings of morals that will develop. Without love, you get the roots of evil, which also develop.

No,everyone is born evil with a survival instinct.

They are number one and others come last.

A child will scream and cry until they get their way.

Another will steal a cookie or candy then lie about it.

All are suscptible to evilness. Do we teach kids how to be naugty or good? We teach them to be good right. Thats because selfishness is the germ that causes evilness and from birth we are selfish. Its almost like babies and children are naturally naughty/selfish its just there and parents spend their whole lives trying to raise them right.

In saying every act of evilness is merely driven by varying degrees of selfishness take for example how selfish cheating and lieing is to mureder and pedophilia. The only difference is the later is an expression of acute selfishness. Children ir babies are innocent but as human beings per se we are sinful or corrupt. We need to have moral discpline because the easy choice is usually the wrong one.

No. Psychopaths are born that way as well as many other mental illnesses. However, sociopaths are made. I study psychiatry/psychology.

Yes. I believe we have evolved to depend on our fellow species for survival and to help each other. I think ignorance leads people to selfishness though. Eradicate ignorance and get rid of selfishness.
