Why do people telling us about the Democrats founding the KKK and fighting civil rights never mention they were "conservative Christians"?

Are they that desperate to hide the truth from their base?

    Good question. But whenever I have doubts and thoughts about why Republicans do this or that. I always have to remember who we are talking about and consider the source.
