I want to get a degree in social work and than go for AMI training (Association Montessori Internationale). Can I do this?

Yes you certainly can. But be careful with this. You forgot to tell us your country but if you want to teach in a taxpayer funded school you will need to dual qualify. So why not keep this simple. Rather than a social work degree, study something that qualifies you to teach and then do the AMI course. Some places (Hartford Connecticut for example) will allow you to combine the two.

If you want to teach beyond primary, you will also need certification.
