Can you do peripheral vision test yourself, or it is necessary that someone else moves the object?

If you can see your hands beside your face while looking straight ahead, you have good peripheral vision.

Hold your hands in a position like you were told to put your hands up by a cop. BUT , with your hands even with the front of your face, about 6 inches out to each side. You should be able to see that there is something there, especially if you move your fingers a little.

Getting overly complicated with moving objects wouldn't mean much as you wouldn't know how to measure the angles or interpret any results anyway.
