Why rap music is singled out as a bad influence, but some of the biggest names in different genres committed acts of violence & drug use?

    Rap & Hip-Hop, is all that people listen to for anyone in the demographics of 18-25. From age 25 it digresses to a lower amount.

    To answer your question, because ignorance is bliss,

    you see these people online, anonymously, insulting hip-hop. I doubt they've heard one good rap song.

    I don't think it's singled out, I think most people who single it out are probably just racist and singling it out because it's considered liked by majorly black people which isn't really true. If you look at old rock bands they did heavy drugs back in the day such as cocaine and LSD, some even sexually assaulted women. Some rappers have never committed crimes.
