My clutch got stuck in reverse?
I have a 2006 international stick shift tow truck and earlier today the clutch got stuck in reverse. I can't get it back into neutral and the clutch got stuffed. What could it be? Can anyone help?

Clutch? Like a clutch pedal?
Maybe you mean your SHIFTER?
But I'm wondering about you and your question. Nobody that drives an International truck calls the shifter a clutch.
Is it an Eaton-Fuller 6-speed?

That's easy DRIVER ERROR. If you don't know that the gearbox and not the cluch got stuck it is DRIVER ERROR 100%.

You obviously have no experience in driving a manual transmission vehicle. Your clutch, in no way, can be "stuck in reverse". Your transmission can get stuck in reverse. You might have a broken shift linkage or damage inside the transmission.

The clutch doesn't get stuck in reverse. The gearbox does.

A clutch can't get stuck in reverse. It has no gears. If you mean the transmission is stuck in reverse have you tries shifting it with the motor not running?
If it won't shift even with the motor off you may have broken a shift fork inside the tranny.

Hi so the clutch did not get stuck in reverse the gearbox did. this is a mechanical failure which means it has to come apart to be fixed.

The clutch will not stick it on reverse.
This sounds like a gear linkage or a gearbox issue.
It needs a mechanic to look at it.

too techincal for me, it wouldnt be your clutch stuck anyway thats just a disk that is gripped to the flywheel by a spring plate on one side and the flywheel plate on the other, the slave cylinder or clutch fork variates the spring plate,
my only bets are that if you had a high biting point then you could of used reverse and its then locked itself in gear or the forks in the gearbox are stuffed
