Has religion caused more chaos than peace and harmony?

I know that religion is one of the most controversial subjects. I grew up in a Irish Catholic family and never once did I enforce my religious beliefs on others or threaten them with Hell. I mean sure there was religious violence in the middle ages such as the crusades and the inquisition. For example killing infidels that took over Jerusalem and threatening people of different religion to convert to Catholicism. And if they don t, the death penalty. It would be nice if people of different religions just show sincere respect, tolerance, peace and harmony towards others instead of this senseless violence.

Godliness is not about religion or denomination or Church or Religious Customs. It is about Jesus and the greatest sacrifice ever made. Jesus opened the doors of Heavens to everyone who believes in the one true God(Father, Holy Spirit, Son) and believes in Christ ALONE(not self-righteousness, not religion, not sacraments, not Mary and not Saints) for salvation.

Every one who believes in Christ and accepts Him as his/her personal savior is a Church where Christ lives. The physical Church was built with the intention of praising and worshiping God with fellow believers, to spread the Gospel and to grow in Knowledge and Relationship with God.

I agree. but in human societies and minds, 'different' usually ends up as 'enemies'.

I'm a Baha'i, a member of the Baha'i Faith. We believe there is only one God, that sent Buddha, Jesus, Moses, etc to humanity, now Baha’u’llah has come.

No, man has caused the most chaos in the world. Primarily, those that want to make man into a god. Hence the problems between the Irish: The reality and authority of God's Word, vs. the Papists.

The violence is non Christ like.

Religion (false religion) has caused a lot of suffering.

    Please look at True Christianity:

THOSE WHO WORSHIP THE TRUE GOD

People of many races, ages, and circumstances following the way of true worship

base their teachings on the Bible

worship only Jehovah as the God of Abraham and make his name known

show genuine love for one another

accept Jesus as God’s means of salvation

are no part of the world

will NOT take up arms against ones fellow man

preach God’s Kingdom as man’s only hope

    See

How can we identify the true religion?
