I had a D&C November 8. When can I try to have a baby again?

I found out the day before my procedure that my baby had no heartbeat. Some doctors said to wait a few months, but other people said try again as soon as possible because I'll be more fertile. If I try again soon, could my baby have issues? Could I? Help!

You can try now if you so desire, but that would be mistake. Why on earth would you ask us rather than following your doctors advice? Who are "other people" -- they are WRONG.

Please do some research about lining of the uterus and preparing a hospitable environment. When we were doing IVF there was a scientific reason that we used birth control for two months after a failed attempt so the uterus would be thick and healthy.

You may be impatient and your anxiety will decrease your chances.

While you are at it look up "fertility timeline ovulation".

And 'other people' know better than your doctor?

You are not more fertile after a miscarriage, and having sex too soon could cause you serious physical harm.

If you have questions or concerns about your doctor's advice, ask her to explain the rationale for it.
