Why have a government if it won’t help the least of its citizens.?

Politics is about satisfying the majority, not a tiny amount.

Because the purpose of government is to line their pockets 🦍

The budget pie of federal government expenses shows the vast majority already going to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Welfare. Defense is the next big expenditure, but not nearly as much as those social programs combined.

Why have citizenry who won't look after themselves and each other?

We don't need a bully government to take our stuff and make us do things.

We need the freedom and liberty to do good. If you take all my stuff and resources to give to someone else, then you literally rob me of the opportunity to do anything for myself AND for others.

We need the freedom to grow and become more. That only happens when we can choose to do good.

Socialism doesn't work. Communism doesn't work. And private citizens in the past served each other. Even today when tragedy struck people were there helping each other because we had the freedom and the resources to do it. Anyone remember the floods in Texas and Louisiana? Who was there? It wasn't the government. The first responders were the citizens.

AND we do need a strong military. You don't get freedom without security from outside forces. You don't get freedom with too much security inside your own home. You don't want to live in a prison...do you?
