Because Yahoo email accounts and Google gmail accounts are two completely separate email accounts is why.
If your email account really has been suspended, you would NOT be able to post THIS question. Either your YAHOO email account has NOT been suspended OR you have set up a NEW Yahoo email account and signed up with YA. Your Google gmail account is Irrelevant. It has NOT been suspended. IF you had AOL email account, THAT email account probably ceased to exist on December 15. Google is a competitor of Yahoo and Verizon.
HOW did you post THIS question if your email account has been suspended, BLOCKED from participating on YA. The Yahoo email account is fine. You CAN LOG INTO IT and APPEAL the account suspension.

Because Yahoo Mail is operated by Yahoo; and Gmail is operated by Google. Two completely separate companies.
If you're banned from McDonalds, you can still go to Burger King.
