Has the Gifted series ended? What happened to them?

It finished up it's season. I believe it has been renewed for a second season.

In the season finale most of the mutants prepare to try and kidnap the scientist behind the Hound program while he's at a conference but they botch the job. The Frost sisters convince Polaris to assassinate him and an anti mutant Senator as they fly out of a nearby airport. Meanwhile, the mutants undergrounds safe house is attacked. The Struckers manage to get everyone to safety but now they're without a home and resources. As they meet up to discuss what to do next, Polaris arrives with the Frost sisters and advocates for starting the Hellfire Club again, which will engage in more violent action. Sage and some of the other mutants join them, as does Andy. This leaves the Struckers, Blink, Johnny, and Eclipse to carry on the underground.

I've never seen it.

It will come back for season two.
