Connecticut State IRS says my refund is under review?
My Connecticut state tax says under review I've never seen that before what are the reasons possibly I didn't file anything weird just a basic forum including homeowners taxes but that was it.

is it the state of Conn or the IRS in Conn, can't be both and one does not necessarily have anything to do with the other
if IRS has notified you your return is under review is it under review by IRS

It's called the Department of Revenue.
It's still January, they may be waiting for the state version of the W-2 to get to them, so then compare the numbers.

I experienced the same thing when I was in Ohio. I believe it is an attempt in various states to root out tax fraud.
