I keep thinking bad thoughts but I can’t stop it?
Hello, I’m 16 years old and I keep thinking bad thoughts. I don’t wanna keep thinking about them, everyday day I stress out about these thoughts about doing bad things to people and to my family. I get nightmares of doing bad things to my family and I cry when I wake up. Sometimes i tell myself to stop because it’s that bad. When I accidentally look at someone’s butt or boobs, I feel guilty and disgusted. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.... what should I do?

Intrusive "scary thoughts" are symptoms of anxiety disorder or OCD. Speak to a doctor who can refer you to a mental healthcare professional about it. Besides possibly going on medication, you should look into self-help materials on managing anxiety disorder. A lot of it involves relaxation and exercises that help you change your perspective.

It sounds like you could be experiencing intrusive thoughts, which are actually more common than we realise. They're usually fleeting and harmless, but they do present more in conditions like anxiety and OCD. In these cases, namely with OCD, you might feel the need to practice rituals and routines to stop them. Again, the thoughts are usually harmless but the anxiety within your mind ends up harming you. It sounds like you're trying very hard to repress things you perceive as bad, and the simple fact you recognize violent thoughts becoming actions as being bad and the thought of acting on them scares you shows that your moral compass is in check and you're unlikely to ever act on them because, again, you know they're bad. If you really are worried about them you could seek counselling to try and work out why they might be occurring.
As for accidentally glancing upon people's bodies, as Flux said there's nothing inherently wrong with desiring women's bodies. Repressing sexual thoughts can actually become more harmful and may end up presenting in ways that could be harmful to you or others. As long as you don't stare for long and understand things like consent then don't be ashamed to open yourself up to exploring your sexuality. It's normal.

If you're thinking about harming others, you may want a productive outlet to release some of that anger. Perhaps partake in a sport, workout, lift weights, or even hitting a heavy bag. If you catch yourself looking at female's body parts, there's nothing inherently wrong with that. It's natural for heterosexual males to desire women, but just don't make it awkward by gawking at them.
