I tried to sell a new line in toilet paper, it failed miserably. Perhaps it was the name and the tag line that did it. "ARNIE TOILET TISSUE" "Takes no s41t"

The USA has came a long way since the days of the basic corn cob (still the official state toilet tissue in Arkansas) but there are still no federal specifications on toilet *paper. Some states are still using the last of the basic Sears catalog which is no longer available except in small handouts.

Sounds good, your idea of importing and marketing cheap Cambodian toilet *paper in those states that are just now being weaned from the rough jagged catalog pages but have not yet became accustomed to the comforts of squeezably soft Charmin. I believe that as long as children can not hurt each other playing with Cambodian made toilet *paper then it's legal to import it.

*Recommend using the word "tissue" instead of paper. Tissue sounds more refined than paper and therefore will be easier to market using that nomenclature especially in the over sensitive states of Oklahoma and Texas.

    Hope this helps.

If you aren't smart enough to buy toilet paper from a store or online then this question doesn't mean much, does it?

Commercial TP: no real government specification.

In double sheet, vary between 80 till 120 sheets depending on prices difference and quality.

The only specification is that it has to eventually dissolve in water. It can be any size and anywhere from one ply to four ply.
