What does killer instinct mean to you?

I've heard this term a lot in my life... Most people say I lack it ... Although, I think just anot anybody who is put in a life / death situation will have some kind of fight in them.. Or the discipline not to care... Is it a beneficial thing to have for the most part?

    Its not always used in such a literal sense. Sometimes its just a metaphor for being very ambitious.
