It's two years behind, just like you said.

It is what it is in your state. It is not what it would have been in any other state. The answer is different for each state. In some states, it is different for each car, based on mileage, weight, or value.

In the United States a vehicle's registration can't possibly be "behind" it's either valid or not registered. If it hasn't been being used on public roads for 2 years then it was just not registered. The fee for registration is whatever the registration fee is where you live and has to be done every year for any vehicle that is used on public roads. If it's not used on public roads it doesn't have to be registered by law.

Where at dumbass? Timbuktu? Upper Congo? Haiti? We're not mind readers. A clever lad would just call the DMV and ask or look online at their website. It's ALL published.

You wouldn't pay for the last two years to catch up. It doesn't work that way. You would re-register and just pay the one year's rego.

That would depend on where you live, Rico. Late vehicle registration fees are not universal. Look at your state's DMV website to find out.

your State dmv website may have a section where you can get the registration fee info

Depends on what car you have, what state you register in. Look on the last renewal to see what the penalty adds up to. The state decides how much the registration is for each model.
