No. Democracy and communism cannot coexist. Communism is a socialist economy with a dictatorial government. Nations in the Free World where people have strong civil rights and personal freedom use a mixture of socialism and capitalism as their economic system, but all have democracy as their form of government.

NO. You might read something about basic political science, like something that most 8th graders are required to read.

Democracy can be communism. If the public elects people who carry out a communist style of government.
==== in the 1930's Germany was a democratic republic with multiple parties (unlike the basic 2 party system of the US) ... There were about 35% of the representative elected who were in the Nazi party. Due to many problems (read some history) the Chancellor appointed Hitler as head of the governemnt and that democratic country was, almost overnight, a Nazi regime. ---- If you believe reports of the elections in the USSR and CUBA, their elections (does that make them democratic?) in the high 90something % they elected communists .. or Stalinists, or Lenninists, or Castroists.

It only works effectively in small countries. In the US there are many different regions and people would feel alienated by having people hundreds of miles away vote on what they can and can't do

Democracy is an undesirable form of government. A constitutional republic that guarantees individual rights is superior.
