Can you recommend me a cheap manual v8?
I'm looking around, I really like the style of the older camaros, and the newer firebirds with the ram air hood, but they are a bit out of budget. I'm just looking for some cheap american muscle, I don't want a v6 automatic. I know anything very cheap I'll probably have to put some work into, but I can accept that. So, that being said, can I find any good muscle cars with a v8 manual for under $6000?

Anything in that price range is going to be a Fox-body Mustang with a 302ci engine. That's all you're going to find. Camaros and Firebirds of that age were usually automatics if they had V8s (unless you can find a Firebird Formula with a 305ci engine... some of them had manuals).

Fox body Mustangs are less than $6K. The 94 & 95 Mustangs are the last with the pushrod 5 litre V8 and (in my opinion) they drive and look better than the 93 and earlier ones. They are old now and will likely need work but parts are plentiful.
