Is it alright to be employed or working like that?

I have a neighbour that seems kind of unusual.

On most days, all of us can see he is home. He never goes out much and he did not seem to have a proper job, at least it seemed to us.

Recently, we realised he is actually a major consultant offering advices to major corporations on how to conduct their businesses. At any one time, he is paid a minimum of tens of thousands of dollars and on averages he gets millions of dollars from his servicxes.

The other day, we read in the papers our government was involved in a multi billion dollar contract with a foreign company and he was their chief adviser.

But yet other than that, he seemed to do no other thing. We also don't see him going out everyday to work.

Is it okay to be working or living like that?
