How could I get proper treatment for my back when I have nothing?
I was in an accident a year and a half ago. I was 18 then. I got a job as a stocker soon after the job. Long story short my moms guilt trip, fear and everything kept me from quitting my job to recover. I also got screwed over by my lawyer and doc. I only got $2000 in compensation and I only visited the chiropractor which did nothing. The pain kept getting worse. Now I'm always in pain. I have a very high pain tolerance, but the fear that my back is messed up is driving me insain. I have tried every treatment I can myself. And have gone to the doctor but only could afford the basic muscle relaxers and crap. I really cant sleep which adds to the pain and energy drain. I quit my job. Now I'm completely broke, cant afford the doctor and my mom wont help me. I dont go home anymore anyways I've been basically living at my friends. My mom sais she has no money to help but I know she's lieing... but whatever. Is there some way I can find out whats wrong with my back? I was thinking could I go to the ER or something. My back hurts most in the thorasic area. Im pretty sure Its a muscle prob.

No, the ER Is not the place for a chronic problem. You need to see an orthopedist. If you have no money, you need a county clinic.

If it is a muscle issue, like you believe, then what you need is physical therapy to help you strengthen and restore movement to the areas in need, also core work will do so much for you. The core along with those back muscles support everything. The good news is that you do not need to go to PT to fix this, everything you need can be found on line.
Now, if the issue is not as you believe, then an MRI is the only way to figure it out. That should have been done way back at the time of the accident. As well as PT should have been ordered by your doc as a precautionary method. Whomever told you to go see a chiropractor was an idiot. They can adjust, but they do nothing to keep everything in place. It is the one great flaw in our system. You did not mention weight, crucial role in backs. You did not mention if you walk or do any activity, again, crucial. Movement may hurt but without it, you will only get worse. I have had chronic back issues fo more then 15 years, I get shots on a regular basis, I have degenerative disk and nerve entrapment, and while surgery is an option now(they were waiting as long as they can) It's only a 50/50 it will work in my case and the odds of something going wrong, are not much different.

Millions of people live with back pain. Millions of people have no jobs or insurance. You'll learn to live with it like the rest of the poor people.
