Is "girls are fierce like tigers"a one across message?

I'm making a power point slide about this term for my communication class.

    I approve of female empowerment .. but this phrase is not psychologically healthy.

    Even for females who doubt their inner strength, it doesn't work to try to tell yourself the opposite view .. the unconscious rejects the message if it contradicts unconscious attitudes about ourselves.
