Does anybody work at Yahoo on weekends? Why don't they shut it down until they get a 9 year old to figure out how to stop the Chinese spam?

Yahoo doesn't appear to monitor the site at all. The posts you refer to come from spam bots, but one or more humans are programming them. They are being paid by the company they are posting for, to enhance search engine optimization for that company.

We don't know when or if Yahoo will take action. All we can do is report them, ignore them, or leave YA. Hopefully they will be dealt with soon. Many questions have been asked about this already.

No one is working at Yahoo Answers since 2013 (with the last big update which killed the option of Voting and also introduced this stupid layout). May be all these spams are created by some baffled Yahoo employees to kill this site as early as possible so that they can move on to better jobs in Yahoo.

Yahoo should just allow Moderators from community and Yahoo Answers will be a better place otherwise Quora is going to continue its domination over YA.
