how can I narrow Yahoo Answers to just English questions?

Upi can't. Ya comes in 13 different languages and numerous dialects.. The Asian language spam attack on YA has been going on for more than 2 MONTHS and ha ramped up in the last 3 weeks. ALL ANYONE can do is REPORT the spam questions ALONG with any answers as you can tolerate at a time and move on. You CANNOT "set" a filter to get rid of the Asian language questions on YA. some subcategories are not as bad as other subcategories, UNLESS you have that kind of technical kn owledge and can write your won computer script to do that.

Naivety... This IS the English language site. It has been pirated by CHINESE language spam posters...

You can't. This is an English language site so there is no language filter.

The posts you refer to come from spam bots, but one or more humans are programming them. They are being paid by the company they are posting for, to enhance search engine optimization for that company (or so it appeared when the posts began a month or so ago). We don't know when or if Yahoo will take action. All we can do is report them, ignore them, or leave YA. The posts are ALL OVER the site. Hopefully they will be dealt with soon. MANY questions have been asked about this already (it amazes me so few people think to check in the Answers category to see if a problem with the site has already been addressed). The site's been heavily flooded with them since the weekend of 7/7/18.

It has NOTHING to do with the international sites being combined with the English site, they are Spam bots!

There's many Yahoo users posting chinese spam questions to Yahoo at the moment.

Yahoo will likely fix the issue in the future.
