What's a good way to ask for more hours / show i'm available?

I started my first job & a gas station ( im 20), and I first asked for part time. However, I was scheduled for 40 hours the last few weeks. I now see my boss scheduled me for only 3 days instead of 5, and I kinda liked working the 5 days full time. Whats a good way to bring this up / let him know without sounding too needy?

Just let him know you were scheduled full time and you prefer it now... let him know you'd like to be put on full-time if he has a slot

Sometimes businesses will put part-time people on a full time schedule during certain weeks, if they are short-handed

honestly, exactly what I was looking for. I'll give best answer when I find out how to (if they still do that?)

If you need me to work 40 hours or more days, I'm available

"Boss, I really enjoy working here and I appreciate the opportunity. I'm willing and able to work up to five days a week if you need me. Please let me know if you'd like me here more often and I'll be happy to pick up the extra hours."
