Can you have two checking accounts at Chase bank?

I wanted to open a new checkigns account but I was wondering if you're able to have 2. I want one to use for everyday purchases and one to keep money aside and saved (yes I know I can get a savings, but I want to be able to access this saved money and savings has a limit to how much u can use it before they auto turn it into checkings)

Foolish notion. Get a savings account for money you set aside, and leave it there. Keep enough in checking for all routine expenses.

It's a lot easier to meet the requirements for a no service fee savings account than a no service fee checking account. How likely are you to make more than 6 withdrawals from your savings account per month? I would go with the savings account instead of getting two checking accounts. But, yes, you can have two checking account with Chase. The service fee for a checking account is $12 unless you can maintain a minimum balance of $1500 or get a direct deposit of at least $500. All you have to do to get a no service fee savings account is to have an auto transfer of at least $25 from your Chase checking to your Chase savings or have a minimum balance of $300. Even if you can't meet either of the requirements, the service charge is only $5 for a savings account.

There is not law against having as many checking accounts as you wish at as many or as few banks as you wish.

Unless there is a reason the bank may not wish to do business with you at all, they generally will allow you to have multiple accounts.

Note: For your purposes, you are likely better off with 2 checking account and a savings account that allows you to transfer funds to the checking account online, or an be accessed using your debit card.

Note2: There are limits on the number of withdraws from a savings account in a month before FINES are required by Federal law, but the account is NEVER converted to a checking account.

You may have both but check to see if each has a minimum balance requirement or monthly service charges. Why not have a savings or CD account and get a little interest?
